A few weeks ago HempLogic™ founder Cory Sharp predicted a ‘Hemp Harvest Armageddon’ was just around the corner.
Based on the huge response to the HempLogic Harvest Rescue plan, announced just this past Wednesday, Sharp’s prediction was all too true.
From small trial plots with just 1000 plants to big operations of 300 acres or more, it has become alarming clear that all too many hemp farmers went into the 2019 season with either no plan, or a vastly inadequate plan, for finishing out their crop, harvesting their hemp while preserving CBD integrity and bringing their biomass to market.
“We’ve had just a huge response,” said John Tucci, Executive VP of Sales for HempLogic. Tucci is working with the HempLogic team to coordinate the complicated response to helping hemp farmers with no harvest and drying plans and to buy their biomass.
On Wednesday, HempLogic announced they have the crew and equipment capabilities to help hemp farmers with:
Tucci said it is critical that farmers contact HempLogic sooner than later if they need help with harvest or any of their other hemp services. The logistics of organizing help for as many farmers as possible is complicated, and farms need to be vetted and get on the schedule. There are only a few more weeks before weather will turn and the harvest window will be lost.
This year’s harvest insanity will hopefully be a wake-up for next season, Tucci said. “The take-away is ‘planning, planning and more planning.”
